When there is a business trip to a provincial area, I find myself at Seoul Station. If the train schedule is ambiguous, naturally, I look around for nearby restaurants. There are Korean and Western food options, as well as snacks like hot fish cakes, kimbap, and tteokbokki, but whenever that is, the sight of the hamburger I ate as a chance given by my parents in my childhood comes to mind. Today, recalling childhood memories, I visited Lotteria located inside Seoul Station.

Rice Burger: The Korean Hamburger

The only downside of hamburgers is that they are made with oil and flour, which can upset your stomach during long-distance travel. However, Lotteria has a rice burger that addresses this issue and is perfect for Koreans. The Seoul Station branch sells three types of rice burgers, and I tried the Jeonju Bibimbap Rice Burger, which has a delicious and satisfying taste.

Side menu changes are also possible

When ordering a set at a discount, it is possible to pay an additional amount and change the menu. For example, side menu items such as fries can be changed to cheese sticks, and drinks like cola can be changed to water or coffee.

Great but Spicy Taste

A rice burger with a hearty patty containing eggs, patty, lettuce, and thick rice patty is sufficient for a hearty meal. The egg is crispy on the outside but, when you know it, it is half-cooked. The meat patty is not thick, but it is sufficient to enjoy the chewy taste. The seasoning is just right, making it perfect for enjoying a spicy taste. However, the spiciness is similar to spicy ramen (yeol ramen), so if you are not good at eating spicy food, you should be careful when purchasing.

Satisfying but expensive

Overall, it was satisfactory, but considering that it has a similar composition to a regular burger, it was not cheap. However, considering that there is a slight inflation near the station and the terminal, it was still not a bad choice. In particular, if your child likes hamburgers, I recommend getting a rice burger instead of a regular one and exchanging the soda for water!
